HomeBuilders Grant & What to Look for When Choosing a New Home Builder

When the first wave of COVID-19 hit and much of the world went into lockdown, many building companies prepared for the worst. Now almost a year down the line, the building boom of the decade continues with no slowing down in sight.

For the past 10 years Clockwork Constructions has been working hard on the front line of the construction industry to build dreams for home owners across Sydney. Here are some insights we’ve found relevant and helpful for homeowners looking to get ahead of the game this year.

Is there a home builders grant?

Last year the HomeBuilder scheme provided $25,000 grants to eligible people building a new home or renovating an existing one. It was due to expire at the end of 2020 but has been extended to 31 March, 2021, at the lower rate of $15,000. 

Eligible contracts (new builds and substantial renovations) must be signed between the 1st of January 2021 and the 31st of March 2021. Applications can be submitted until April 14th. Click here for the HomeBuilder grant application form and official details on the scheme.
